Select the Start button, then go to Settings > Personalization > Lock screen, and select Screen saver settings. In the Screen Saver Settings window, choose a screen saver from the drop-down list. Change your screen saver settings.

If the SCRNSAVE.EXE registry value is "C:\Windows\system32\ssmypics.scr," locate the ImageDirectory registry value in the following path: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Screen Saver.Slideshow Browse to the folder that is indicated in the registry value, and then delete any invalid photo shortcuts in the folder and in the subfolders.

Press Windows logo key + L to lock your device. The selected background should appear on the lock screen. Customize your lock screen status. Select Start > Settings . Select Personalization > Lock screen. Select the list for Lock screen status and select an app that can show detailed status on the lock screen.

Windows 10. In the search box on the taskbar, type device manager, then select Device Manager. Select the arrow next to Human Interface Devices and then select HID-compliant touch screen. (There may be more than one listed.) Select the Action tab at the top of the window. Select Disable device or Enable device, and then confirm.

When you start Windows, a Begin Logon dialog box prompts you to press CTRL+ALT+DEL to log on. By default, if you do not press a key for 15 minutes, the Windows logon screen saver (Logon.scr) starts. Change the logon screen saver. Click Start, click Run, type regedt32, and click OK.

For Windows 11. If your keyboard does not have a Scroll Lock key, on your computer, click Start > Settings > Accessibility > Keyboard. Click the On-Screen keyboard button to turn it on. When the on-screen keyboard appears on your screen, click the ScrLk button. Tip: To quickly open the On-screen Keyboard in Windows 11, click the Windows button.

Security Windows 11 Windows 10. If you trust a file, file type, folder, or a process that Windows Security has detected as malicious, you can stop Windows Security from alerting you or blocking the program by adding the file to the exclusions list. Caution: Only do this for files that you're confident are safe.

The Windows Snipping Tool captures all or part of your PC screen. After you capture a snip, it's automatically copied to the Snipping Tool window. From there you can edit, save, or share the snip. Set up your screen so you can clearly see what you want to capture. Press Windows logo key+Shift+S.

Windows 10. Depending on your hardware, you may use the Windows Logo Key + PrtScn button as a shortcut for print screen. If your device does not have the PrtScn button, you may use Fn + Windows logo key + Space Bar to take a screenshot, which can then be printed. To locate your screenshots, open File Explorer from the taskbar.
