There are different ways to remove apps and programs, so if you can't find the one you're looking for, you can try another location. Note that some apps and programs are built into Windows and can't be uninstalled. You can try to repair a program first, if it's just not running correctly.

Open the Program_Name folder, and then click the program's "uninstall" file to remove the program (if the file exists). For example, the file might be named Uninst.exe, Uninstall, or Uninstall Program_Name. Follow the instructions to remove the program.

Block you from uninstalling a program through Add or Remove Programs (or Programs and Features) in Control Panel. If you're trying to remove malware, you can use Windows Security (or another antivirus tool), or you can use the Windows Malicious Software Removal tool.

Click Cancel two times to close the Date and Time dialog box. You are ready to fix the Windows Installer issues. If your computer prompts you for a password, you are not logged on with an administrator account. If the Date and Time Properties dialog box appears, you are already logged on as an administrator. Click Cancel to close the dialog box.

In the search box on the taskbar, enter control panel and select Control Panel from the results. Select Programs > Programs and Features. Right-click the program you want to fix and select Repair, or if that’s not available, select Change. Then follow the directions on the screen. For more tips, see Repair an Office application.

Select the Close (X) button in the upper-right corner of the app window to close it. Then, reopen the app. Make sure Windows is up to date. Select Start > Settings > Windows Update > Check for updates. If there is an available update, select Install now. Make sure that your app works with Windows 11.

DISM provides the files required to repair your corrupted files. You should run DISM prior to running the System File Checker. To do this: Open an elevated command prompt. Type cmd in the Search box. In the search results, right-click Command Prompt, and then select Run as administrator.
