Reinstall OneDrive - Microsoft Support
Reinstalling Microsoft OneDrive can sometimes resolve sync issues and resets all OneDrive settings. OneDrive will perform a full sync after the reinstallation. You won't lose any data by uninstalling OneDrive. Your OneDrive folder will stop syncing, but any files or data you have in OneDrive will still be available when you sign in at OneDrive.com.

How to cancel or stop sync in OneDrive - Microsoft Support
Right-click (or CTRL-click in Mac) the OneDrive icon on the taskbar. Tip: The sync will resume automatically, but you can keep rescheduling so that the sync runs overnight. If you don't want to sync all of your folders in OneDrive to your computer, you can specify which folders you'd like to sync.
