Resolution. To switch Task Manager to its normal display mode, double-click the top border of the window. Workaround. To work around this behavior, perform the following steps: Click Start, and then click Run. Type taskmgr.exe. Hold down CTRL+ALT+SHIFT at the same time, and while holding them down press ENTER. Right-click Start , then select Run. Type regedit in the Open: box, and then select OK. Type regedit in the search bar on the taskbar, then select Registry Editor (Desktop app) from the list of results.

With the file location open, press the Windows logo key + R, type shell:startup, then select OK. This opens the Startup folder. Windows 10. Runtime Broker is a Windows process in Task Manager that helps manage permissions on your PC for apps from Microsoft Store. It should only use a few megabytes of memory, but in some cases, a faulty app might cause Runtime Broker to use up to a gigabyte of RAM or more.

Choose the apps that will run when you start your device. Go to Start > Settings > Apps > Startup. Open Startup settings. For any app in the list, select the toggle to set it to On. If you want to change the advanced settings for that app, select the arrow and make changes as desired.

Notes. Removing these two folders uninstalls the Windows 10 Update Assistant from the system. If you cannot remove the folders by using these commands, start Task Manager (taskmgr.exe) and end the Windows10UpgraderApp.exe process. Then, try the commands again.

Select Programs > Programs and Features. Right-click the program you want to fix and select Repair, or if that’s not available, select Change. Then follow the directions on the screen. Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager. You may need to select More details at the bottom of the window to see everything. Note: If you tapped or selected a browser window before you pressed Ctrl + Shift + Esc , you'll get the browser task manager.
