WORKAROUND. Windows: Press the Windows key + R to open a "Run" dialog. Enter the path %localappdata%\Microsoft\OneDrive\settings and select OK. Delete the PreSignInSettingsConfig.json file. Mac: From Spotlight search type “keychain” and select " Keychain Access ”.

If you accidentally delete a file or folder in OneDrive, you may be able to recover it later from the OneDrive recycle bin, and if you're a Microsoft 365 subscriber, you can even restore your entire OneDrive if something goes wrong.

Turn off, disable, or uninstall OneDrive. If you just don't want to use OneDrive, the easiest solution is to unlink it - see the steps below. Tips: If you want to stop OneDrive for a while, or not use all of it, here are some other solutions:

You can easily edit the passwords saved in Microsoft Edge. Important: Changing the password in Microsoft Edge doesn't change the password for the website. You'll need to ensure that the password stored in Microsoft Edge matches the password you've set for the website.

Download the offline installer from your account portal. To download the offline installer, go to www.office.com. If you're not already signed in with the Microsoft account associated with your copy of Microsoft 365 or Microsoft 365 do that now.

Items that have been deleted from a SharePoint in Microsoft 365 site Recycle Bin are kept in the site collection Recycle Bin (or second-stage Recycle Bin). If you're a site collection administrator, you can permanently remove these items by deleting them from the site collection Recycle Bin.
