Note Configuration changes made on the Xbox Accessories app and saved to a profile get saved to the controller itself. This means that those configurations can be brought to any device the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 is compatible with, including mobile devices and newer Samsung TVs.

The Service Guide (“Guide”) provides instructions for repairing Microsoft Xbox devices and accessories using genuine Microsoft parts. It is intended for technically inclined individuals with the knowledge, experience, and tools required to repair Microsoft devices.

After you find a match, move that specific Oemn.inf and Oemn.pnf files to a different location, or rename the files with a different file name extension. After you locate the matching .inf files, move the Oemn.inf and Oemn.pnf to a different folder.

Controller serial numbers are 14 characters long and don’t include dashes. Your controller serial number may not be recognized if you’ve never connected your controller, or if you connected for the first time within the last 48 hours.; If you have the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2, the 14-character serial number is in the lower center on the back of the controller.

Improvements and fixes. This update includes a fix for an incorrect device driver (“Microsoft – WPD – 2/22/2016 12:00:00 AM - 5.2.5326.4762”) that was released by a third-party on March 8, 2017 that affected a small group of users with USB connected phones or other media devices that rely on Media Transfer Protocol (MTP).

Right-click the Usbstor.pnf file, and then click Properties. Click the Security tab. In the Group or user names list, add the user or group that you want to set Deny permissions for. In the Permissions for UserName or GroupName list, click to select the Deny check box next to Full Control.

If you can’t locate a lost file from your backup, then you can use Windows File Recovery, which is a command line app available from the Microsoft Store.Use this app to try to recover lost files that have been deleted from your local storage device (including internal drives, external drives, and USB devices) and can’t be restored from the Recycle Bin.

In most cases, all you have to do to set up a scanner is to connect it to your device. Plug the USB cable from your scanner into an available USB port on your device, and turn the scanner on.
