Connect to Wi-Fi on Surface Duo

You might want to connect to Wi-Fi instead of using mobile data sometimes. This can help if you don’t get a good cellular signal in some places or have a limited mobile data plan.

  1. On your Home screen, tap Settings.

  2. In Settings, tap Network & internet > Wi-Fi > Use Wi-Fi.

  3. Tap the name of a Wi-Fi network you recognize and trust.

  4. Enter the Wi-Fi network password, then tap Connect.
After your Surface Duo is connected, a number appears on the Wi-Fi icon. That number tells you the Wi-Fi network version.
