Symptoms
Assume that you use the same budget control configuration setup in several companies in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012. When you run the Activate function on the budget control configuration, it works on one company only. If you run the Activate function on the budget control configuration for another company, you receive the following error message:
Cannot create a record in Budget group ledger dimension (BudgetGroupLedgerDimension). Record-ID: ID, 1 Company Yes. The record already exists.

After you install the hotfix, you must run the Activate function on the budget control configuration for each company. To do this, follow these steps:

Click Budgeting, click Setup, and then click Budget control configuration.

In the Budget control configuration form, click Activate budget control, and then click Activate.
Prerequisites
You must have Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 installed to apply this hotfix.
Restart requirement
You must restart the Application Object Server (AOS) service after you apply the hotfix.
File information
The global version of this hotfix has the file attributes (or later file attributes) that are listed in the following table. The dates and times for these files are listed in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). When you view the file information, it is converted to local time. To find the difference between UTC and local time, use the Time Zone tab in the Date and Time item in Control Panel.
