INTRODUCTION

This article describes that a country-specific update to add approximate taxes in the Nota fiscal document is available in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 Service Pack 1 (SP1) with the Brazilian localization layer installed.

According to the Transparency law, 12.741/2012, approximate taxes are required to be displayed in fiscal documents on sales to consumers or final users. The approximate taxes includes ICMS, ICMS-ST, IPI, ISS, INSS, II, and PIS and COFINS that is over importation when the cost of importation is more than 20 percent of the item price over all item production and sales chain, and PIS and COFINS that is applied over the sales.

Additionally, companies can use the approximate tax rates to calculate the tax burden in a National entity and apply the tax burden over the sales.

To comply with this change, this country-specific update is available in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 SP1 with the Brazilian localization layer installed.
