INTRODUCTION
This article describes a country-specific update that is available to provide the functionality to query pending service tax invoices according to the India legal requirements, the Point of Taxation (PoT) rules, in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 Service Pack 1 (SP1) with the India localization layer installed.
More Information
According to the PoT rules, the Cenvat credit on input services, the service tax credit on purchase of input services, can be availed on the receipt of invoice. However, the payment must be made within three months. If the payment is not made within three months, the credit that is availed must be reversed or paid. Additionally, the credit can be taken back as a credit on making payment.
Therefore, an online query is provided to list out the vendor invoices that are not paid within 90 days for which service tax was calculated. You can reverse and reclaim the service tax credit on the vendor open invoices that are unpaid within 90 days. Additionally, you can filter transactions with the specified fields and criteria.

After you apply this update, you must run an upgrade job to enable the new feature in Microsoft Dynamics AX.
To run the upgrade job, under AOT/Jobs/UpgradeVendTransServiceTaxExtension, right-click the job, and then click Open.
