Applies ToInternet Explorer 11

Symptoms

Assume that you have Internet Explorer 11 installed on a computer. You open several links from a webpage in new tabs. In this situation, the webpage on the new tab is displayed as blank. However, the thumbnail on the shortcut bar displays the content of the new webpage correctly.  Notes

  • The expected behavior is that the webpage is displayed correctly in the new tab.

  • This issue does not occur if you open a link in a new window.

Cause

This issue occurs because the new tab is opened and navigated at almost the same time.

Resolution

Update information

To resolve this issue, install the most recent cumulative security update for Internet Explorer. To do this, go to Microsoft Update. For technical information about the most recent cumulative security update for Internet Explorer, go to the following Microsoft website:
