Can't sign in automatically after you restart an Aries common area telephone that is running Lync Phone Edition

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:

  • You have an Aries common area telephone that is running Microsoft Lync Phone Edition.

  • You sign in to the telephone by using a common area telephone account.

  • You restart the telephone.

  • At the same time, the network connection to the telephone is lost.

  • You reconnect the telephone to network after some time. For example, after 60 seconds.

In this scenario, the telephone does not sign in automatically. Additionally, you receive the following error message:

Certificate web service cannot be found. Please contact your support team.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, install the appropriate cumulative update for the telephone that you are using:

For Aastra 6721ip and Aastra 6725ip telephones
