Question:
I am entering a Deferral and I cannot change the Deferral Account in the Deferral Entry screen when not using a Profile. Why is this happening?
Answer:
When entering a Revenue or Expense Deferral without using a Profile, there is no way to select a Deferral Account in the Deferral Entry screen. You can only enter a Billing Account. You must change the Deferral account in the Receivables orPayablesTransaction Distribution Entry screen before going into the Deferral Entry screen.
Example:
Distributions are as follows.
400-6520-00 PURCH $100.00
000-2100-00 PAY $100.00
If I want to Defer the Purchases Distribution with a Deferral Account of 000-1900-00, I willneed to change the Distribution to go to the 000-1900-00 rather than the 400-6520-00.
