SUMMARY

This article describes the credit card software andcorresponding processors that integrate with Microsoft Dynamics Retail Management System (RMS) Store Operations. Most potential customerswho are reviewing Store Operations as a replacement of their current point-of-sale solution are committed and contracted to their credit card processor, and they want to know that theycan continue that relationship if theyconvert to Store Operations. Although there are other credit card software options that are available in Store Operations, such as Automic Authorizer and WinTI/European EFT, they are not discussed in this articledue to theirinfrequent use.

MORE INFORMATION

The built-in "Citibank Credit Card Processing" feature was introduced in Microsoft Business Solutions Retail Management System 1.1. Microsoft Business Solutions Retail Management System 1.2 introduced a change that let debit cards be used with this solution. Because this solution is a built-in solution, additional credit card software is not required. Microsoft Business Solutions Retail Management System 1.2 Service Pack 2 enhanced the integration by adding three new industry-leading acquiring banks. Additionally, the name of the feature was changed to "Preferred Acquirer Credit/Debit Card Processing."

Microsoft Retail Management System 1.3 enhanced the integration so that it could be used by any bank that uses TSYS Acquiring Solutions (formerly known as Vital Processing Services) as the credit card processor. Microsoft Dynamics Retail Management System customers can now benefit from fully integrated credit card processing from the following acquiring banks:

  • Wells Fargo Merchant Services

  • Bank of America Merchant Services

  • Chase Paymentech

You can also use other acquiring banks as long as they use TSYS Acquiring Solutions as the credit card processor.
