Symptoms
The security protocol for CRM Online services has been updated to TLS 1.2. This breaking change for integration products is implemented on CLR 4.6.1 and earlier versions. If the system has been affected by this change, it will experience failed connection requests (with no further diagnostics) from the Dynamics NAV application to CRM. You will also experience connection request failures when running the New-NAVCrmTable cmdlet of the Development Shell in Microsoft Dynamics NAV.
Note You can read information about the reasoning behind the TLS upgrade.
Resolution
Uninstall your current Dynamics NAV server and then install a new instance by using the setup.exe from the installation media (DVD) in the following table. To fix the issue with the New-NAVCrmTable cmdlet, copy the Microsoft.Dynamics.Nav.Model.Tools.dll file from the DVD to the installation and replace the existing file.
Note select and download one of the following installation media (DVD) depending on the country version of your Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2016 and 2017 database.
