Symptoms
If you are trying to open a file on a storage device after your computer resumes from Hibernate, it is probably corrupt. This happens when a storage device was removed from your computer after it has entered Hibernate, attached to another computer, and is then plugged back into your Hibernated computer and resumed.
Cause
When the contents of a storage device change after being connected to another running computer between the hibernate and the Resume on the original computer; data corruption or inconsistencies can result.
Note: You may remove storage devices after the computer has been hibernated, however do not attach the storage device to another computer and then reattach it to the hibernated computer. This will help prevent the possibility of data corruption on the storage device.
