Assume that you apply the update that is described in Knowledge Base (KB) article 2553447 to Access 2010. In this situation, you receive the following error message when you perform a complex query that refers to many records:

Resolution
Hotfix information
A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to resolve only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing the problem described in this article. This hotfix might receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next software update that contains this hotfix.

Prerequisites
To apply this hotfix package, you must have the Office 2010 Service Pack 1 (SP1) installed.

Fix it for me
To enable the hotfix, click the Fix it button or link. Then click Run in the File Download dialog box, and follow the steps in the Fix it wizard.

For Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP, Windows Server 2008 or Windows Server 2003

Install the hotfix in the "Hotfix download available" section at the top of this Knowledge Base article before you run this Fix it solution.

This wizard may be in English only. However, the automatic fix also works for other language versions of Windows.

After you install the hotfix package, follow these steps to enable the hotfix:

Click Start, click Run, type regedit in the Open box, and then click OK.

Locate and then click one of the following registry subkeys.

On 32-bit versions of Access on 32-bit versions of Windows or 64-bit versions of Access on 64-bit versions of Windows:

On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click DWORD (32-bit) Value.

Type WorkingSetSleep, and then press Enter.

In the Details pane, right-click WorkingSetSleep, and then click Modify.

In the Value data box, type 1, and then click OK.

Exit Registry Editor.
