INTRODUCTION

This cumulative update also includes the following previously released updates:

  • 981218 A call is dropped when a media time-out occurs on the gateway side of the Office Communications Server 2007 R2, Mediation Server

  • 981250 The Office Communications Server 2007 R2, Mediation Server does not send a response to the PSTN gateway when the Mediation Server cannot contact the front-end server

  • 972772 Video is not displayed after you enable Quality of Service (QoS) at the pool level in Communications Server 2007 R2 and you enable QoS on a client computer

  • 972770 An update package enables Office Communications Server 2007 R2, Mediation Server to include a diversion header in the re-invite after the server processes a 302 redirection

  • 968954 Communications Server 2007 R2 front-end server does not recognize a 504 error message that is sent by Communications Server 2007 R2 Mediation Server after you install update 956829

Update package installation information

To install this cumulative update, install the OCS2007-KB2404578-amd64-MediationServer.msp file on the following computers:

  • Office Communications Server 2007 R2 – Mediation Server

Note When you apply this cumulative update on servers that run Windows 2008 and have the User Account Control (UAC) enabled, make sure that you start the installation of the cumulative update (.msp) by using the elevated Command Prompt. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Click Start, click All Programs, click Accessories, and then right-click
    Command Prompt.

  2. Click Run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

  3. Start the cumulative update (.msp).

Removal information

To remove this cumulative update, use the Add or Remove Programs item in Control Panel. You must restart the computer after you uninstall the cumulative update for Office Communications Server 2007 R2, Mediation Server.
