Introduction

This article describes update 2837648 for Microsoft InfoPath 2013 that was released on December 10, 2013. The download links for this update are also included here. This update provides the latest fixes for InfoPath 2013. It also includes stability and performance improvements.

Download and install the update

You can use Windows Update to download and install the update (recommended). To get the stand-alone package for this update, go to the Microsoft Update Catalog website.

Note This update applies to MSI-based editions of Office 2013. This update does not apply to Office 2013 Click-to-Run editions such as Microsoft Office 365 Home.  

  1. Start an Office 2013 application such as Microsoft Word 2013.

  2. On the File menu, click Account.

  3. For Office 2013 Click-to-Run editions, an Update Options item is displayed. For MSI-based editions of Office 2013, the Update Options item is not displayed.

  • Assume that you upgrade a computer to Windows 8.1. After you install Office 2013, the contrast of the tiles on the start screen is worse than expected.

  1. Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, and then tap Search. If you are using a mouse, point to the lower-right corner of the screen, and then click Search.

  2. Type windows update, tap or click Settings, and then tap or click View installed updates in the search results.

  3. In the List of updates, locate and then tap or click update 2837648, and then tap or click Uninstall.

Windows 7

  1. Click Start, and then click Run.

  2. Type Appwiz.cpl, and then click OK.

  3. Click View installed updates.

  4. In the List of updates, locate and then click update 2837648, and then click Uninstall.
