This article describes the issues that are fixed in the Microsoft Office 2010 hotfix package that is dated July 10, 2013.
Issues that this hotfix package fixes
When you assign a value that contains spaces to a property of an Office document in a SharePoint Server 2010 document library, the document takes longer than expected to open.
When you schedule a meeting in Outlook 2010, the Free/Busy information on the Scheduling Assistant tab is unavailable.
Users who are not administrators can deactivate any COM add-in on an Office 2010 application.
A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing the problem described in this article. This hotfix might receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next software update that contains this hotfix.

You do not have to restart the computer after you install this hotfix.
Hotfix replacement information
This hotfix does not replace a previously released hotfix.
Follow the steps in this section carefully. Serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Before you modify it, back up the registry for restoration in case problems occur.
After you install the hotfix package, follow these steps to enable the hotfix:
Click Start, click Run, type regedit in the Open box, and then click OK.
Locate and then select the following registry subkey:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Common\Security\Note If you install the x86 version of Office 2010 on a computer that has the x64 version of Windows 8 installed, the registry subkey is located in the following location:
On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click DWORD Value.
Type DisableLMAddinOverwrite, and then press Enter.
In the Details pane, right-click DisableLMAddinOverwrite, and then click Modify.
In the Value data box, type 1, and then click OK.
Exit Registry Editor.
This hotfix package may not contain all the files that you must have to fully update a product to the latest build. This hotfix package contains only the files that you must have to resolve the issue that listed in this article.
The global version of this hotfix package uses a Microsoft Windows Installer package to install the hotfix package. The dates and the times for these files are listed in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) in the following table. When you view the file information, the date is converted to local time. To find the difference between UTC and local time, use the Time Zone tab in the Date and Time item in Control Panel.
