Summary

This article describes the Microsoft Office Excel 2007 issue that is fixed in the hotfix package that is dated April 26, 2011.

INTRODUCTION

Issue that this hotfix package fixes

  • Consider the following scenario:

    • You insert a pie chart in a Microsoft Office Excel 2007 workbook.

    • You add data labels to the pie chart.

    • You delete the data range that the pie chart uses.

    • You select the data label on the pie chart, and then move it to a different position.

    • You save the workbook in .xls format.

    • You open the new workbook, and then you try to save it.

    In this scenario, Excel 2007 crashes.
