Applies ToProject Server 2010

Summary

This article describes the issues that are fixed in the Microsoft Project Server 2010 hotfix package that is dated August 13, 2013.

INTRODUCTION

Issues that this hotfix package fixes

  • Consider the following scenario:

    • You approve a project in Project Web App. Then, buttons on the Workflow Approval page are unavailable.

    • You change the display language of Project Web App to a different language.

In this scenario, the buttons for the workflow approval are re-enabled incorrectly.

  • Assume that the project owner for a project is changed after it is published. When a team member assigns an existing task of the project to themselves in Project Web App, the new project owner becomes the status manager instead of the person who published the project. Therefore, the new task approval is sent to the wrong person.

  • After you apply hotfix 2817378, totals for grouping rows on the Approvals page in Project Web App are for the whole assignment in the time-phased grid. However, the totals are expected to be for a certain reporting period.

  • When the actual work for a task is set in Project Web App, the task level baseline information that is associated with the assignment disappears in the My Tasks view.

  • When you click Export to Excel in Project Web App while you are using Internet Explorer 10, the function does not work correctly.

  • Assume that you try to edit a project in Project Web App, and you receive a "Project out of sync" notification. In this situation, when you click Sync, the project is not updated. Additionally, you keep receiving the "Project out of sync" notification.

  • Site user synchronization still occurs in Project Web App even though all synchronization options are turned off.
