Known issues in this security update

  • Installing this update may cause applications based on the Microsoft JET Database Engine (Microsoft Access 2007 and older or non-Microsoft applications) to fail when creating or opening Microsoft Excel .xls files. When the problem occurs, you receive the following error:

    Unexpected error from external database driver (1). (Microsoft JET Database Engine)

    To resolve this issue, install the following update:4050795  "Unexpected error from external database driver" error when you create or open Microsoft Excel .xls files
