This article describes an update that makes daylight saving time (DST) changes in Windows for Chile. Before you install this update, see the Prerequisites section.

This update applies to the following operating systems:

  • Windows XP Embedded

Changes by location

Chile

Starting in 2019, the DST period for the Republic of Chile starts at 24:00 on the first Saturday in September and ends at 24:00 on the first Saturday in April. The current DST observation in Chile ends at 24:00 on Saturday, April 6, 2019.

Note The Magallanes region does not currently observe DST. Therefore, it is not affected by this change.
