Symptoms
Consider the following scenario:

You log on to a computer that is running Windows 8.1.

Before the "Host Process for Setting Synchronization" (SettingSyncHost.exe) process closes its database, you generalize the system by running the following command:
Sysprep.exe /generalize /oobe /shutdown /unattend:CopyProfileUnattend.xmlFor example, the CopyProfileUnattend.xml file contains the following code:

A user logs on to the computer.

The user tries to install an app from Windows Store.
In this scenario, the app installation fails, and error 8e5e0530 occurs. Additionally, lots of errors are generated in the Application log, such as "C:\Users\Administrator\... while the account doesn't exist."
Resolution
Update information
