When you try to type an account number that contains a decimal point in the Discount Account field in the Service Series Setup Maintenance (SD.000.00) screen, you receive the following error message:
System Message 6934 - Attempting to set text control to an invalid value. Value violates the Mask specification.
This problem occurs in Service Dispatch in Microsoft Dynamics SL.
This problem occurs because the mask property of the Discount Account field in the Service Series Setup Maintenance (SD.000.00) screen is WWWWWWWWWW. The mask property of the Discount Account field in the Service Series Setup Maintenance (SD.000.00) screen should be UUUUUUUUUU.
Note The W mask is alphanumeric and it converts to uppercase. The U mask is ASCII and it converts to uppercase.

In the Modules list, click Service Dispatch.
In the Service Dispatch pane, click Service Series Setup Maintenance under Setup.
On the main Microsoft Dynamics SL toolbar, click Customize, and then click Customize Mode.
In the Service Series Setup Maintenance (SD.000.00) screen, click to put focus on the Discount Account box, and then press F4.
Note The Properties dialog box appears.
In the Mask box, type UUUUUUUUUU to replace WWWWWWWWWW.
Close the Properties dialog box, and then close the Service Series Setup Maintenance (SD.000.00) screen.
Click Yes after you receive the following confirmation message:
