Consider the following scenario:
You select the Delete browsing history on exit checkbox in the Internet Explorer dialog box in Internet Explorer 11 or Internet Explorer 10.
You select the Preserve Favorites website data and Temporary Internet files and websites files checkboxes in the Delete Browsing History dialog box.
You go to a webpage and add it to Favorites.
You exit Internet Explorer, and then you open the webpage again in offline mode.
In this scenario, the webpage is not displayed as expected.
To resolve this problem, install the most recent cumulative security update for Internet Explorer. To do this, go to Microsoft Update. Additionally, see the technical information about the most recent cumulative security update for Internet Explorer.
Note This update was first included in the November cumulative security update for Internet Explorer (MS14-065).
This issue occurs because the application cache of the webpage is not included as favorite website data, and it is deleted by the Delete Browsing History function.
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
