Symptoms
You have a Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1 (SP1)-based application that is created in Visual C#. The application uses types in System.AddIn namespaces to add some add-ins. When you run the application, a memory leak occurs. Additionally, the performance of the application may decrease if the application runs for a long time.Â
Cause
This issue occurs because some System.AddIn.Hosting.AddInActivator+ResolverHelper and System.ResolveEventHandler objects stay in memory after garbage collection is completed.Â
