Introduction

This article describes an issue that occurs when a Windows Embedded Compact 2013-based device can't connect to the preferred APs in Windows Embedded Compact 2013. An update is available to resolve this issue. Before you install this update, all previously issued updates for this product must be installed.

Symptoms

Assume that you have multiple access points (AP) on a Windows Embedded Compact 2013-based device. If you connect to several APs, the APs will all be marked as preferred. After multiple restarts, the ProfileList registry key may reach an OS4096 limit. Therefore, the device does not connect to the preferred APs.
