You run a third-party 3270 emulator such as Extra! X-treme on top of a 64-bit Host Integration Server client. The SNABASE Service is configured to run as an application. When you try to establish a 3270 session in this situation, the attempt fails, and the following event is logged:

Because the emulator is a 32-bit process, the system tries to read the Transport information under the following registry subkey:

However, this subkey is missing. Therefore, the SNAIP.DLL file does not load.
