Symptoms
Consider the following scenario:
-
You create a table on both Microsoft SQL Server 2012 and Microsoft SQL Server 2014.
-
You create a Microsoft BizTalk Sever 2013 R2 project and use the Consume Adapter Service Add-in to generate a schema, for example, the Select operation for the table.
In this scenario, the element order in generated schema with SQL Server 2012 is different from the one with SQL Server 2014.
Cause
The issue occurs because the column order returned by the query that is executed by WCF-SQL adapter cannot be guaranteed without using order by. Additionally, When you generate a schema, the implementation between SQL Server 2014 and SQL Server 2012 is changed. And the compatibility was compromised between the two versions SQL Server.
Resolution
Cumulative update information
This issue was first fixed in the following cumulative update of BizTalk Server:
Status
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
