This article describes an issue that occurs when an application is built with AppBuilder on Windows Embedded Compact 2013-based devices. An update is available to fix this issue. Before you install this update, all previously issued updates for this product must be installed.
Symptoms
Assume that you create a "hello world" application on a Windows Embedded Compact 2013-based device, and the Monthly Update (May 2015) is installed on the device. Incremental linking is enabled for this application. In this situation, when the project.bib file includes an application that's built by using AppBuilder, the makeimg process fails.

Restart requirement
After you apply this update, you must perform a clean build of the whole platform. To do this, use one of the following methods:

On the Build menu, select Clean Solution, and then select Build Solution.

On the Build menu, select Rebuild Solution.
You don't have to restart the computer after you apply this software update.
