Assume that you are using the MQSeries adapter to receive and process messages in Microsoft BizTalk Server, and you have an MQSeries queue that contains messages that are larger than the fragment size that is configured on the Adapter. In this situation, the BizTalk server may go into a loop and consume high network traffic and CPU activity. Additionally, the BizTalk server may consume many large temporary files until the BizTalk process crashes.

This problem is fixed in the following cumulative updates for BizTalk Server:

Cumulative Update 5 for Microsoft BizTalk Server 2016

Cumulative Update 8 for Microsoft BizTalk Server 2013 R2

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
