Issue 1

Consider the following scenario:

  • A user performs an operation by using an application that sends a port list in Microsoft BizTalk Server 2013.

  • The application uses the Microsoft.BizTalk.ExplorerOM assembly or BizTalk Server Administration Console.

  • The user is a member of the BTS_HOST_USERS or BTS_OPERATORS MicrosoftSQL Server database role.

In this scenario, the operation fails.

Issue 2

Assume that a user is a member of the BTS_HOST_USERS SQL Server database role, and BizTalk Server 2013 is installed on a computer. In this situation, the user cannot use an Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) pipeline to send or receive EDI messages on the computer.

Cause of issue 1

This issue occurs because the SELECT permission is not granted to the BTS_HOST_USERS or BTS_OPERATORS SQL Server database role on the bts_dynamicport_subids and bts_dynamic_sendport_handlers Biztalk tables.

Cause of issue 2

This issue occurs because the EXECUTE permission is not granted to the BTS_HOST_USERS SQL Server database role on the [dbo].[adm_Group_Enum] stored procedure.

To resolve the issues, apply the fix that is described in the following Microsoft Knowledge Base (KB) article:

2830546 FIX: The vertical scroll bar on the target schema does not work correctly when you use Visual Studio to design a BizTalk Server 2013 map Note Update 2830546 includes the fixes that are described in KB articles 2830546, 2832136, and 2832137.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.

To work around these issues, enable BAM alerts before you apply any configuration in BizTalk Server 2013.
