When you install a third-party firewall on a client computer, and if that firewall disables Windows Firewall, Microsoft Forefront Unified Access Gateway (UAG) 2010 still detects Windows Firewall as running.

This problem can occur if Windows Firewall is running when the third-party firewall is installed.

This problem is fixed in Rollup 1 for Microsoft Forefront Unified Access Gateway 2010 Service Pack 4 (SP4).

To work around this problem, make sure that Windows Firewall is turned off before you install a third-party firewall.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
