Consider the following scenario in Commerce Server 2009:

  • You create several page groups in the Marketing System of the Commerce Server Core Systems.

  • You use the Discount Ad Web Part to serve the advertisements or discounts that are most relevant to current shoppers.

  • You specify some of the page groups when you configure the Content selection: Page group property for the Discount Ad Web Part.

In this scenario, the Page group property setting of the Discount Ad Web Part does not take effect. Therefore, you cannot target advertisements or discounts to specified page groups by using the Discount Ad Web Part.

This issue occurs because the Page group property setting of the Discount Ad Web Part is not being passed into the ContentSelector object.
