Copilot in Viva Learning is an extension of Copilot introduced across Microsoft products. It acts as a virtual learning companion by integrating AI and advanced learning techniques.
Copilot assists you throughout your learning journey and provides personalized guidance, recommendations, and the ability to take action.
Note: Copilot in Viva Learning is in Public Preview. It is currently only available to premium users whose admin has activated the public preview.

Copilot in Viva Learning can:

Search content in natural language processing (NLP) using the Substrate large language model (LLM) API.

Perform actions through Copilot, such as Add to calendar , Share, and Recommend.

You can upskill by asking course recommendations on any topic in natural language.

You can ask Copilot to create Collections from recommendations to consume them in free time

Managers and leaders can recommend courses suggested by Copilot to their team members for upskilling.
Copilot in Viva Learning was evaluated through extensive manual and automatic testing on top of Microsoft internal usage and public data. This ensures that offensive or malicious content isn't exposed to users.
Copilot in Viva Learning is meant for users to query in natural language on the learning content and upskill them. Copilot process the query requests using large language model (LLM) to better understand user context for high quality results.
Only users with a Viva Suite license can access Copilot in Viva Learning.
