Modules are used to organize class content in Microsoft Teams. Modules have titles and descriptions, and contain resources such as Assignments, Files, Links, and more. Modules can be published and pinned to manage visibility to students.
Notes:
-
Classwork is only available in Class Teams.
-
Up to 48 modules can be added per Class Team.
How to create Classwork AI Modules
-
Navigate to the desired Class Team, then select Classwork.
-
Select the Add Module button, located in the bottom left corner.
-
Choose the New Module option.
-
Select the Create module button.
5. Enter Class details for Subject and Grade Level.
6. Write down your learning objectives for the course by answering the prompt “What do you want students to be able to know or do upon completing the class?” This will help the AI draft a better module that meets your unique requirements.
7. Choose the Draft modules button. The AI will take a moment to generate modules based on: subject, grade level, learning outcomes and default settings.
8. Once the results are generated, you will have the option to adjust the module count, regenerate, and add draft modules.
Add draft modules
1. Choose the Add Draft Modules button. After you select to add draft modules, we will show a status bar as we load in the modules one by one.
2. Modules will load one by one after they are created. From here, you can publish, drop resources and files, and add more information to refine your modules.
Publish an AI module
Publishing a module will make it (and all resources within) visible to all students in the Class Team.
1. Navigate to an AI draft module.
2. Choose the Publish button.
Notes:
-
Publishing a module is not reversible (although a module can be deleted after being published).
-
Any draft or scheduled assignments within the module will not be visible to students until they are manually assigned (or upon the scheduled date).
Pin a module
A pinned module will appear at the top of the list. Once unpinned, the module will appear back in its original location.
-
Navigate to the desired Class Team, then select Classwork.
-
Go to the desired module, select More > Pin module.
Notes:
-
Only one module can be pinned at a time.
-
Only published modules can be pinned.
Reorder modules
Modules can be reordered by dragging and dropping individually to the desired location.
Delete a module
-
Navigate to the desired Class Team, then select Classwork.
-
Go to the desired module, then select More > Delete.
Notes:
-
Any file and links in the module will be permanently deleted.
-
Assignments, OneNote pages, and Teams channels may still be accessed in their respective apps/locations outside of Classwork.
