Symptoms
For tax-exclusive stores and customers, gross prices cannot be displayed for transaction line items in Microsoft Dynamics AX Retail 2009 R2 Refresh POS and Microsoft Dynamics AX Retail 2009 R2 POS.

Installation information and prerequisites
You must have Microsoft Dynamics AX for Retail 2009 R2 Refresh POS or Microsoft Dynamics AX for Retail 2009 R2 POS installed.
Before you install the hotfix, close Retail POS, and make a backup of the store databases. Extract the hotfix files to a folder, and then, in the retailpos subfolder in the extract location, double-click AxUpdate.exe. Follow the instructions in the Setup wizard. When installation is complete, restart Retail POS, and log on as usual.
Restart requirement
You may be prompted to restart the computer after you install the hotfix.
File information
The global version of this hotfix has the file attributes (or later file attributes) that are listed in the following table. The dates and times for these files are listed in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). When you view the file information, it is converted to local time. To find the difference between UTC and local time, use the Time Zone tab in the Date and Time item in Control Panel.

Validation of the application hotfix installation
To validate the installation of the application hotfix, start Retail POS and, on the logon screen, verify that the release number is 5.0.1506.1097 in Microsoft Dynamics AX Retail 2009 R2 Refresh POS and 5.0.1506.712 in Microsoft Dynamics AX Retail 2009 R2 POS.
More Information
After you apply this hotfix, the Retail Price column displays price plus tax for each line item. To display the Retail Price column in Retail POS, you must change the till layouts in Retail Headquarters to include the column, and then send the updated till layouts to stores by using the A-1070 Terminals or N-1070 Terminals scheduler job.
Note
- You cannot permanently delete the Total column or the Total With Tax column from a till layout. The column is added to the till layout automatically in Retail POS at runtime.
- In a store that has the Prices incl. tax check box selected or for tax-inclusive customers in a tax-exclusive store, the Total column in the till layout is automatically changed to the Total with Tax column. In this situation, the Total with Tax column displays the same value as the new Retail Price column.
