INTRODUCTION
This article describes how to add a short description or a generic description in the Items window when you lookup items in Business Portal Requisition Management in Microsoft Dynamics GP.

To add a short description or a generic description in the Items window, follow these steps.
Step 1: Move the query

On the Business Portal Home page, click Site Settings, click Portal Elements, and then click Organize Queries.

Expand the Dynamics folder, expand the Requisition Management folder, and then click Item List.

Click the Move to Folder button.

In the Browse for Folder window, expand the QueryPages folder, expand the Purchasing folder, expand the personal folder, click your personal folder, and then click OK.
Step 2: Modify the query

On the Business Portal Home page, click Purchasing.

Click Queries, click to highlight Item List, and then click Modify Query.

In the Modify Query window, click to select the Short Description check box and the Generic Description check box, and then click OK.

Click Save Query, and then click Save.
Step 3: Move the query back to the original folder

On the Business Portal Home page, click Site Settings, click Portal Elements, and then click Organize Queries.

Expand the QueryPages folder, expand the Purchasing folder, expand the personal folder, expand your personal folder, and then click Item List.

Click the Move to Folder button.

In the Browse for Folder window, expand the Dynamics folder, click the Requisition Management folder, and then click OK.
