INTRODUCTION

You can add Microsoft Business Solutions - Great Plains Extender fields to the Field Service Equipment SmartList Object. You can use Microsoft Great Plains SmartList Builder to display data.

When you create an Extender window for the Equipment Maintenance window in Service Call Management and then add the Extender column to the Equipment SmartList Object, Not Defined may be displayed in the Type field. In this case, data is not displayed in the Equipment field.

To display data in the Extender columns, follow these steps:

1.

Click Tools , click SmartList Builder , and then click SmartList Builder .

2.

Name the SmartList ID , Name , and Item Name fields to something different from the original Equipment SmartList Object fields.

3.

Expand Great Plains Table to add the table, and then specify the following settings:

Product : Service Advantage
Series : Project
Table : Serial Master

Note For the Serial Master table, you should see two keys, Item Number and Serial Number .

Click Save .

To make this SmartList Object the same as the default Field Service Equipment SmartList Object, click to select the default check box for the following items:

Equipment ID
Serial Number
Item Number
Equipment Status
Install Date
Customer Number
Address Code
SVC Serial ID
QTY
SVC Asset Tag
Shipped Date
SVC Register Date

Click Save .

7.

Close and then reopen the SmartList window. Click Yes when you are prompted by the following message:

SmartList Builder has detected changes to be made. Do you want to make these changes now?

Click Tools , click Extender , click Extender , and then click the Service Advantage\Field Service Extender window.

9.

Click SmartList , click SmartList Builder for the SmartList Product, and then click the SmartList Object that you created by using SmartList Builder.

10.

Match the Item Number and Serial Number key fields.

You can now open the SmartList window, select a new SmartList Builder Object, and then select the columns to add to the Extender column.
