Create the Extender window:
|
a.

Use one of the following methods, depending on the version of Microsoft Dynamics GP that you are running:
• In Microsoft Dynamics GP 10.0, point to Tools on the Microsoft Dynamics GP menu, point to Extender , click Extender , click Windows , and then click New .
• In Microsoft Dynamics GP 9.0 and in Microsoft Business Solutions - Great Plains 8.0, point to Extender on the Tools menu, click Extender , click Windows , and then click New .

In the Extender Windows dialog box, specify the following settings:
• Window ID : ITEM_DUE
• Description : Item Due
• Product : Great Plains or Microsoft Dynamics GP
• Series : Inventory
• Form : Item Quantities Maintenance
• Window : Item Quantities Maintenance
• Key Fields : Item Number and Location Code
• Field 1 name: Quantity Due
• Field 1 type: Quantity

Click Save .

Create the SmartList Builder object:
|
a.
|
Use one of the following methods, depending on the version of Microsoft Dynamics GP that you are running:
• In Microsoft Dynamics GP 10.0, point to Tools on the Microsoft Dynamics GP menu, point to SmartList Builder , and then click SmartList Builder .
• In Microsoft Dynamics GP 9.0 and in Microsoft Business Solutions - Great Plains 8.0, point to SmartList Builder on the Tools menu, and then click SmartList Builder .

In the SmartList Builder dialog box, specify the following settings:
• SmartList ID : SLB ITEM QTY
• SmartList Name : SLB Item Quantity
• Item Name : SLB Item Quantity

Click the Add Table button (the plus sign), and then click Great Plains Table or click Microsoft Dynamics GP Table .
|

|
In the Add Table dialog box, specify the following settings:
• Product : Great Plains or Microsoft Dynamics GP
• Series : Inventory
• Table : Item Master
• Key Fields : Item Number

Click Save .

Click Item Master , click the Add Table button, and then click Great Plains Table or click Microsoft Dynamics GP Table .

In the Add Table dialog box, specify the following settings:
• Product : Great Plains or Microsoft Dynamics GP
• Series : Inventory
• Table : Item Quantity Master
• Link to Table : Item Master
• Link Method : Equals

Click the Add Link button. In the Add Link dialog box, specify the following settings:
• From Field : Item Number
• To Field : Item Number
|

Click Save .

In the Add Table dialog box, click Save .

Click Item Master .
|

In the Default column, click to select the Item Description check box.

Click Item Quantity Master .

In the Default column, click to select the following check boxes:
• Item Number
• Location Code
• Record Type
• QTY On Order
• QTY On Hand
• QTY Allocated

In the SmartList Builder dialog box, click Save .

Use one of the following methods, depending on the version of Microsoft Dynamics GP that you are running:
• In Microsoft Dynamics GP 10.0, point to SmartList on the Microsoft Dynamics GP menu.
• In Microsoft Dynamics GP 9.0 and in Microsoft Business Solutions - Great Plains 8.0, click SmartList on the View menu.
When you receive the following message, click Yes :
SmartList Builder has detected changes to be made. Do you want to make these changes now?

To make sure that the SmartList Builder object works, click the SLB Item Quantity object.

Add the SmartList link to the Extender window:
|
a.
|
Open the ITEM_DUE Extender window, and then click SmartList .
|
|
b.
|
Click the Add Integration button.
|
|
c.
|
In the Add/Edit SmartList Integration dialog box, specify the following settings:
• SmartList Product : SmartList Builder
• SmartList Object : SLB Item Quantity
• SmartList Field : Item Number and Location Code
|

d.
|
In the Add/Edit SmartList Integration dialog box, click Save .
|
|
e.
|
In the SmartList Integrations dialog box, click OK .
|
|
f.
|
In the Extender Windows dialog box, click Save .
|
|

Add the additional Extender fields to the Microsoft Great Plains item or the Microsoft Dynamics GP item. To do this, follow these steps:

Click Cards , point to Inventory , and then click Quantities/Sites .
|
|
b.
|
In the Item Quantities Maintenance window, click the Item Number lookup button, and then click an item. Click Site ID , click the Sites lookup button, and then click a site.
|
|
c.
|
Use one of the following methods, depending on the version of Microsoft Dynamics GP that you are running: • In Microsoft Dynamics GP 10.0, click Additional , and then click Item Due .
• In Microsoft Dynamics GP 9.0 and in Microsoft Business Solutions - Great Plains 8.0, click Extras , click Additional , and then click Item Due .

In the Quantity Due field, type a number. For example, type 20 , and then click Save .
|

|
In the Item Quantities Maintenance window, click Save .
|

Add a column to SmartList:
|
a.
|
Open SmartList, and then click SLB Item Quantity .
|
|
b.
|
Click Search , and then search for the item number to which you added the additional information.
|
|
c.
|
Click Columns .
|
|
d.
|
Click Add .
|
|
e.
|
Click the Quantity Due field.
|
|
f.
|
In the Change Column Display form, click OK .
