If you select Chile as the region when you install Microsoft Dynamics GP 9.0, you cannot install Fixed Assets in Microsoft Dynamics GP

SYMPTOMS

If you select Chile as the region when you install Microsoft Dynamics GP 9.0, you cannot install Fixed Assets in Microsoft Dynamics GP.

This issue occurs because Fixed Assets is not available in the features list if you select Chile as the region.

To resolve this issue, manually add the required files for Fixed Assets. To do this, follow these steps:

1.	Download the compressed file that contains the required files for Fixed Assets. Then, extract the files to a temporary folder. The following file is available for download from the Microsoft Dynamics File Exchange Server: Fixed_Assets_Chile.zip Release Date: April 19, 2007 Microsoft scanned this file for viruses. Microsoft used the most current virus-detection software that was available on the date that the file was posted. The file is stored on security-enhanced servers that help prevent any unauthorized changes to the file.
2.	Copy the following four files from the temporary folder to the Microsoft Dynamics GP installation folder: • Du309.cnk • FAM.chm • Fam.cnk • Rep309.txt Note The following location is the default location of the Microsoft Dynamics GP installation folder: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics\GP
3.	Copy the 309 folder from the temporary folder to the following folder: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics\GP\SQL\Install
4.	Click Start , point to All Programs , point to Microsoft Dynamics , point to GP 9.0 , click GP Utilities , and then follow the steps in the wizard.
5.	Click Tools , point to Setup , and then verify that the Fixed Assets menu is available.
