This article applies to Microsoft Dynamics AX for all regions.
Retail Modern POS (MPOS) was not installable on a Windows 10 system due to 3 root causes:
1. The pre-requisites check assembly dll was not equipped to handle checking pre-requisites for a Windows 10 based system for Modern POS.
2. The MPOS install script was not equipped to handle system version checks for newer systems like Windows 10.
3. AxUpdate.exe does not allow MPOS to be installed due to pre-requisite check failure.
Resolution
The changes in the hotfix allow MPOS to install on Windows 10.
The pre-requisite checks are updated to work for Windows 10 systems.

Prerequisites
You must have Microsoft Dynamics AX for Retail 2012 R3 installed to apply this hotfix.
Restart requirement
You must restart the Application Object Server (AOS) service after you apply the hotfix.
