Internet-based Configuration Manager clients can't scan for updates after upgrade to Configuration Manager current branch, version 1802


After you update to Configuration Manager current branch, version 1802, Internet-based clients may not scan for software updates through the cloud management gateway. When this occurs, errors resembling the following are recorded in the SMS_Cloud_Proxyconnector.log file on the cloud management gateway server:

MessageID: {message_id} RequestURI: http://<cloud_management_gateway>/CLIENTWEBSERVICE/client.asmx EndpointName: CLIENTWEBSERVICE ResponseHeader: HTTP/1.1 500 CMGConnector_Internal Server Error~~

On the Configuration Manager client, corresponding errors resembling the following are recorded in the WUAHandler.log file:

OnSearchComlete -Failed to end search job. Error = 0x8024401f. Scan failed with error = 0x8024401f.
