This article describes update 4484140 for Microsoft Project 2016 that was released on January 7, 2020.
Be aware that the update in the Microsoft Download Center applies to the Microsoft Installer (.msi)-based edition of Office 2016. It doesn't apply to the Office 2016 Click-to-Run editions, such as Microsoft Office 365 Home (see What version of Office am I using?).
Improvements and fixes
This update fixes the following issues in Microsoft Project 2016:
-
When more than one cost rate exists on a resource, even if the cost rate is the same, cost values on assignments may be incorrect because of rounding. For example, a resource has a current rate of $1 per hour and assignment units that are set at 85 percent. Also, the assignment also has 25 hours of work, but the cost on the assignment shows $24.99 instead of the expected $25.00.
-
Consider the following scenario:
-
-
You have a project on Project Server that has server-based custom fields that have lookup table values, and you save the project as an MPP file.
-
You start Project while you are disconnected from the server profile, and you open the MPP file.
-
In this scenario, you see lookup values that are not expected. Because lookup table values are not stored in the MPP file, no lookup values should be displayed.
