Symptoms
When you load Manufacturing in Microsoft Dynamics GP, you receive the following error message:
You do not have access to open this form.
Cause
This problem occurs because security was removed after you installed Manufacturing.
Resolution
To resolve this problem, set up security for Manufacturing. To do this, use the appropriate method.
Method 1: Use Standard Security

Click Tools, click Setup, click System, and then click Security.
Note In Microsoft Business Solutions - Great Plains 7.x, click Setup, click System, and then click Security. -
In the Product field and in the Company field, click the User.

In the Type field, click Manufacturing, and then click Windows.

In the Series field, click 3rd party.

Give access to the following windows by double-clicking each window:

Toolbar Invisible
-
Manufacturing Series Registration
-
Procedure Triggers
-
Set MFG & HRP Globals
-
Job Costing Right Click Form
-
Job Costing Right Click Form
-
About Manufacturing for Microsoft Dynamics GP
Notes
-
An asterisk appears next to the name of a window that is given access.

Access to the "About Manufacturing for Microsoft Dynamics GP" window is required only if the Display On Startup option is selected in that window.

In the Type field, click Windows.
-
In the Series field, click System.
-
Give access to the following window:
MFG Explore Background
-
Click OK.
Method 2: Use Advanced Security

Click Tools, click Setup, click System, and then click Advanced Security. If you are prompted, type the system password.
Note In Microsoft Business Solutions - Great Plains 7.x, click Setup, click System, and then click Advanced Security. -
Expand by dictionary, expand Manufacturing,, expand Forms, and then expand 3rd Party.

Click the following items:

Toolbar Invisible

Manufacturing Series Registration

Procedure Triggers
-
Set MFG & HRP Globals
-
Job Costing Right Click Form
-
Job Costing Right Click Form
-
About Manufacturing for Microsoft Dynamics GP
Note Access to the "About Manufacturing for Microsoft Dynamics GP" window is required only if Display On Startup option is selected in that window.

Expand System.

Click the following item:
MFG Explore Background

Click Apply, and then click OK.
Note By default, when you start the Advanced Security tool, the current user and the current company are selected. Any changes that you make are made for the current user and for the current company. However, you can select additional users and companies in the following areas of the Advanced Security window:-
User
