Applies ToSQL Server 2008 R2

Microsoft distributes Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 fixes as one downloadable file. Because the fixes are cumulative, each new release contains all the hotfixes and all the security fixes that were included with the previous SQL Server 2008 R2 fix release.

Symptoms

When an application tries to connect to an instance of SQL Server 2008 R2 Analysis Services (SSAS 2008 R2), the connection fails. Additionally, you receive an error message that resembles the following:

Runtime error: the property DBPROP_MSMD_UPDATE_ISOLATION_LEVEL cannot be found

Note This issue does not occur when the application tries to connect to an instance of SQL Server 2005 Analysis Services (SSAS 2005).
