The fix also applies to Microsoft SQL Server 2014 Analysis Services (SSAS 2014).

When you execute a Process command (such as a ProcessFull or ProcessAdd command) against a partitioned table in a Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Analysis Services (SSAS 2012) or SQL Server 2014 Analysis Services (SSAS 2014) instance that is running in Tabular mode, you may receive the following error:

An unexpected error occurred (file 'xmcompanalyzer.cpp', line 553, function 'XMCompressionAnalyzer::SelectBitPackCompression'). The current operation was cancelled because another operation in the transaction failed.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.

To work around the issue, perform a Process Defrag command against the table that has the issue.
