Symptoms
Assume that you are using Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Integration Service (SSIS 2012) or SSIS 2014. When you execute an SSIS package that contains another set of child SSIS packages internally, the ISServerExec.exe process crashes, and the SSIS package execution fails intermittently. Additionally, the following error message is logged in the job history:
Package execution on IS Server failed.
Execution ID: XXXXX, Execution Status:4. To view the details for the execution, right-click on the Integration Services Catalog, and open the [All Executions] reportOn the Integration Services Catalog report you will see status "Unexpected Termination."
Note The current version of the hotfix does not address the failures under Excel connection manager.Resolution
